Father, Today i thank you for all those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedoms, I pray for their loved ones and families that your grace will be upon them. I thank you as well for those missionaries on the foreign and home fields who too have given their lives without much if any notice in the church and the wider world, they too sacrificed their lives and sacred honor that your Kingdom would come, on earth as it is in haven.

Bless I pray these your servants on this and every day, with strength and courage to stay in the fight against all odds and opposition. Lift their hearts as they labor under a burden they didn't ask for, working with people who don't always understand what they must do to stand with them and for them, in places where many wish and want them to 'go away!' These too are soldiers in a war often waged in the spirit realm.

I thank you for their willingness to follow your lead into the unknown and the darkness, may their fear no evil, for your rod and your staff comfort them, even in those moments of personal and corporate struggles. Somehow, may they lift up their heads and face the Son and see your face smiling on them. Grant courage to fight on. May the word of this often forgotten hymn ring true in their hearts:

"Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal master, leads against the foe; forward into battle see his banners go!"

You have made us warriors and winners in a great spiritual battle, we thank you that we don't fight alone! Bless these your people as they go forward into another week of service. I Jesus great name I pray. AMEN!!!

Praying together on Monday - 5/21/2012

Abba,

I thank you for the reminder that I am the "Beloved of God!" No doubt , no question I am Your beloved. On Monday, the beginning a new work week, with reports of the death of a friends loved one; questions about my future opportunities; learning to trust and re-engage with those who have wounded me (and others) in the recent past,; questions about next steps and where do I go from here; these and so many more questions as I in this moment learn to embrace You, my Lord and Savior.

What's your pleasure Lord? What do you want to do now? I know what I'd want or like to do, but is that your pleasure. I'm called to lead, why is it so difficult? Many of the roles I'm called into, I didn't ask to be in and serving with others who seem to pull away, or at least, 'dig in their heels," I wonder, is it what I should be spending my time on.

THANK YOU for being present! You are gently lovingly leading me, to your green pastures and still waters, restoring my soul. Thanks for knowing what's best for me and even it seems a 'long way to get there,' you assure me, You will create the circumstances that will bring me there, (even when I don't know where 'there' is.) You are God over every event of my life, thank you again for your love and care.

Bless these that labor in your name and for your cause, they have long ago abandoned their own wishes and desires for Your purpose, giving you all they know how. Bless not only the work they do, but their very lives. For those places where you meet (and have met) them, when no one else in around or near. When anger and the tears flow, because of frustration, yes even when the challenges isn't resources or workers, but that annoying sense of being ill at ease, fear or whatever it is, You are there in the moment, often standing just waiting for me to turn away from the problem and find you just beyond my vision or hearing, "...You were there all the time."

Thank you, for loving me more then I can comprehend, or even 'feel.' Thanks for hope, your gift to the human family and Your abiding presence. Jesus I (we) love you. If you do no more, I love you and yet I know You won't stop now, because if You had, I would not be who I am today. THANK YOU!!! I BLESS YOU in Jesus Great and powerful name, AMEN!!!
